The NDIS Review will look at the design, operations and sustainability of the NDIS. It will also look at ways to make the market and workforce more responsive, supportive and sustainable.
The Minister has appointed Professor Bruce Bonyhady AM and Ms Lisa Paul AO PSM as co-chairs of the Independent Review Panel. A secretariat in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet supports the panel.
An overarching goal of the Review is to put people with disability back at the centre of the NDIS. It aims to help restore trust, confidence and pride in the NDIS.
The Review involves two parts:
- Part 1 examines the design, operations and sustainability of the NDIS.
- Part 2 examines ways to build a more responsive, supportive and sustainable market and workforce.
A message from the co-chairs
Welcome to the NDIS Review website.
We have been appointed by the Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, the Hon Bill Shorten MP, to lead the Review into the NDIS.
As the co-chairs, we commit to ensuring the Review puts people with disability at the centre of the NDIS, restoring trust and confidence in the NDIS. Trust is vital for participants, their families, carers, nominees and the broader community.
We commit to genuine engagement with all stakeholders. This will ensure the Review is guided by participant and community feedback.
We want to build on what you and others have already said to the government in previous reviews and we invite you to engage with us.
